Birthing Center Info

This is where the little one will be born, any day now! Jace & I didn’t get to take a tour, so I did some reading online about the birthing center. It’s right across the hall from where I have my prenatal appointments (the same floor). The whole 6th (top) floor is dedicated to womens and children’s services.

A Picture-Perfect Room

The Innovis Birthing Center room comes complete with the comforts of home — and the security of a hospital. Rooms are located on the 6th Floor, offering a floor to ceiling window, comfortable bed and furnishings, and sleeper chairs for loved ones. Bathrooms feature a private whirlpool tub, built in hair dryers, and make-up mirrors.

Private rooms in a beautiful setting with a magnificent view of the surrounding area, medications at the bedside, and our commitment to work with you and your practitioner to provide the most seamless care possible. We are also proud to offer the safest and most secure birthing unit in the state.

To welcome your new baby and allow others to share in the celebration of new life, a lullaby will be played overhead when a child is born at Innovis.

Offering Security:

The Innovis Birthing Center is the only unit of its kind in the state of North Dakota to offer families-to-be added peace of mind —one that is securely locked and monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Staying Close By:

For anxious dads, grandparents and siblings, Innovis offers beeper service, so that your support team can move freely about the facility, and be easily reached when the time for delivery is near. In addition, we now allow personal cell phone use in the Birthing Center, making it more convenient for you to stay in touch and notify family and friends when your miracle arrives.

Room Service:

Patients of Innovis Health enjoy hotel amenities bedside simply by picking up the phone. Room service is available from 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., seven days a week. Patients have the opportunity to order what they want, when they want it! For those on a restricted diet, the room service operators can assist you with your selections. Orders are delivered to the room with 45 minutes and are guaranteed to be fresh, hot, or cold, however it is ordered. For parents concerned about their children, pre-ordering can be done to make sure their child is getting a healthy meal at appropriate times. Room service trays are also available for guests who wish to dine with loved ones for a nominal charge. Innovis Health is proud to have been the first to bring the Room Service program to Fargo.

It sounds pretty nice and comfy, huh? lol

We are still waiting for signs of labor…it could be any day now. My bag is packed, and we are ready. We’re just waiting on this wee one to make her move. *blush*
