Today’s to do list

There are quite a few things I need/want to accomplish today. *Making myself a list*
1. Scan baby photos of Brian and email them to him.
2. Hang pictures and family sign.
3. Mail photos to my parents.
4. Send out postcard for postcrossing.
5. Add photos to album.
6. Update Jadyn’s baby book.
I hope to get most of this done before we head off to Jacey’s swim lesson today. *crosses fingers* *wink*

Oh the stress!

Today was quite stressful. I must blog about it. *shocked*
It’s bad enough that the downtown YMCA seems just so old and cramped….but GEEZ! I guess for those people who don’t have to carry a baby, manage a 3 year old AND carry a diaper bag, it’s pretty easy.
First off….the area where we walk to get to the pool where Jacey has her lessons is, well narrow. Then the room for the parents to watch is always crowded, and to get in there it’s so congested with people coming in & out. So that means forget pushing a stroller through there. Grrrr!
Well, Jadyn is way too heavy to carry in her car seat carrier, which by the way, she has now outgrown. (She is in Jacey’s carseat, and Jacey has a new booster.) So, there’s no taking that one anyways.
So the solution? Carry Jadyn and the diaper bag. Well, that’s hard in itself, because how am I supposed to help Jacey shower, get dressed and undressed, go to the bathroom, etc…etc??????? Yes, today was stressful…lol! I will say that it IS actually do-able! (sp?) There is a family locker room (with one room) where I can take Jacey in [...]

Weekend Stuff

Jace’s parents came over Friday to spend the weekend with us. Brian & Liz also came over on Friday evening to say their goodbyes. They were leaving to go back to California early Saturday morning. It was good that Jace’s parents got to see Brian before he left. Who know when we will see Brian again, California is such a long way off. *upset* It was good having him here in ND for a good part of the summer-even though most of his time here was spent with his friends. *upset* I took lots of pics and videos, so that’s good! *blush*
Saturday Jace & his dad installed the 3 doors that needed to be installed. They look great, too! We grilled out on Saturday evening. We had hamburgers, well they were actually turkey burgers, and potato salad.
It was a really nice evening out, and no mosquitoes, either!! *wink*
The weekend always seems to go by so fast, don’t they!? I’ll have pics up on Flickr later, too. Videos are up now! *tongue*

Friday is here!

So Friday is here, and I’m glad! This weekend we will be putting in 3 doors! One is to Jadyn’s closet, the other is the door to her room, and the last, a door to a storage area under the stairs. I’m excited that her room will finally have a door. She loves sleeping in her crib, but we haven’t let her sleep in her room the whole night by herself, just because I don’t want Frosty (our cat) to wander in there. We’re making progress! After the doors, the trim (baseboards & window trim) will be next (in Jadyn’s room & the family room)! *smile*
Jacey had her 4th swim lesson yesterday (Thursday), and is doing so well! She really loves it! Yesterday the instructor put a life jacket on her, and had her jump in the pool ( to the instructor), and she also had her try to do a little bit of a swim on her own-with her life jacket of course. She is making so much progress! *wink* Today she doesn’t have a lesson, but she will go back on Monday. 4 days left of swim lessons! *face*

Tuesday-a day full of fun!

Jacey had her swim lesson again, and did great! In just a day, you could see she was more trusting of her instructor, and really did well! It’s so fun to see her having fun & learning. *heart2*
In the evening after supper, we went to Elmwood Park. They were having “National Night Out” from 5-9. We went and had a good time. We had junk food (lol), and saw animals, watched some karate, and much more. Pics are on flickr, but here’s one (of Jace & I):

You can view more pics on Flickr, and I have uploaded videos to dropshots as well. Are you sick of hearing about my Flip Mino yet? lol Well, I just love that little thing. It’s so small, and I can take it anywhere and shoot video. I’m taking full advantage of that, as you’ll see on dropshots. I’ve already uploaded tons of videos in just 2 days! HA! *smile*
Afterwards we had to head to Target to pick up a few things, and I found my book! *yay* There were only 2 left of Tori Spelling’s book “Stori Telling”…and I snatched one up fast! *tongue*
