My Little Bakers!

I had to post this cute photo of my girls in their cute aprons! I found them on sale at Kohls, plus I had a coupon for 30% off! I had been looking for aprons for my girls, and they were exactly what I was looking for. :)
My girls love to bake, and on this day, we were making gingerbread cookies! They had THE BEST time!

Gather at The Manger

This year the church Christmas program was called “Gather at the Manger”. My hubby, Jace was the narrator, and both my girls were in it. It was a nice program, and everyone did great. My girls looked so pretty! Here’s a pic before the program:

An during….

Jadyn and the other preschoolers sang ‘Away in a Manger”.

Jacey was a shepherd and sang several songs.

Jacey can be shy at times, but she sang every song-and did a great job! Both my girls did!

Oh, here’s a pic of the hubby in suit & tie! ;)
This was after the program:

Afterwards, everybody enjoyed food together in the gym and exchanged Christmas cards. I probably wrote over 75 cards…LOL! I don’t remember exactly how many, but it was for everyone in the church directory. Phew….my hand was TIRED after that…haha! ;)

There are lots more photos on my Flickr site (for members with F&F status). =)

The Nutcracker

This past Friday was a very exciting time for Jacey & I. We went to see a performance of “The Nutcracker” at NDSU, performed by the students at The Bonnie Haney School of Dance. Jacey & I have always loved The Nutcracker, and all of the wonderful music that comes with it. It was such a fun time. In total, the show was 2 hours long. There was a part 1, a small holiday show in the middle, and the last part (part 2). The holiday show consisted of all sorts of dance, like Irish dancing, ballet, tap dancing, baton twirling & more. It was fun to watch!
Another exciting thing was that a friend of Jacey’s from church was in The Nutcracker, and she did a beautiful job. It was fun to watch her on stage. :)
I took a few pictures, but not as many as I would have liked. There was supposed to be no pictures or video taken, and yes I broke the rules….oops. I just wanted to have a few pics as a reminder of the show and our fun time together.

Here’s a couple!

I am so glad we went. Those kids did an amazing job! The costumes were excellent as well. All in all a fantastic show! :)

Decorating the Tree

The girls love decorating the tree, and it is so much fun to do this with them. We always do this all together as a family!
Here are a few photos that I wanted to share….(although a little later than I wanted to) ;)

Thanksgiving 2011

Our Thanksgiving was spent in Willow Lake, South Dakota this year. Jace’s grandmother (Vesta) wanted to have everyone over at her house so she could enjoy having family all around her. This we are sure, will be her last Thanksgiving, as she is very sick. It was very sad knowing that we may not see her again after this day, but at the same time it was so nice to be near her. There were lots of people over at her house. Her kids, grand-kids, great grand-kids…everyone came to spend their Thanksgiving with Vesta.

Here are just a couple of pics…..(more on Flickr)

I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to know her. She is very near & dear to my heart. She has always made me feel loved & welcomed, and that’s something I will always remember.

Update: Vesta passed on Saturday, November 26th. RIP Grandma Vesta, we will miss you!
