We have a Birthday coming up!
I can hardly believe Jacey’s 5th Birthday is almost here! Wow! :O
This past weekend, Jacey & I went to the party store to get supplies. She decided that this year she wants a Disney Princess theme. I, secretly was so excited that she chose this theme-because I love it! LOL!
We chose a lot of cute stuff for her party! We haven’t set a party date yet, but I think we still have a little bit of time left. Her Birthday is July 1st, so we’ll probably have her party on a Saturday-close to that date.
Anyways-on another note-preschool is almost over.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) is her very last day. Her class is putting on a short program tomorrow at the end of class-to end the “school year”. Jacey tells me that they have been practicing a lot. I can hardly wait to see!
Wow-summer is almost here-and then Kindergarten comes after that. I’m trying not to think about that right now-because thinking of that means thinking of my little girl growing up so fast. I’m excited for her because I know she’ll love Kindergarten, but at the same time inside I am saying “wait—it’s not time yet!” My baby girl is growing up…but then again-I guess she’s not really a baby anymore…
A keepsake Valentine
I wanted to share with you all what Jacey made in preschool-for Valentines Day. It is so sweet-and I will always treasure it!
It says:
These aren’t just any handprints as you can plainly see.
For they are special handprints made by me.
With these handprints I send lots of hugs and kisses your way.
And ask that God bless you on this Valentines day!
Sweet Days
Valentines Day and the few days leading up to it were so much fun! It all started out with making Valentine pencil toppers for Jacey’s preschool class. We made some really cute toppers and put them on cute “Valentine” pencils with hearts. They turned out very cute! We also put together her Valentines for her class (which we bought & added candy to),and Jacey also made a handmade card for both her teachers. She did such a great job on them. She really put a lot of thought into them-and they were so sweet! <3 As if that weren't enough, we also made some white chocolate dipped pretzels with pink, white & red sprinkles for her teachers as well. They turned out delicious! I had just as much fun as Jacey doing them all! :D
On Friday-Jacey brought home all of her valentines she received from her friends & teachers. She had loads of candy too! She was so excited going through her bag, looking at them all. She was just as excited about the actual valentine cards as she was about the candy! She was all giggles! It was adorable!
As I do, every year for my girls-I gave them goody bags for Valentines day. They have little things in them like heart candies, a little chocolate, and things typically from Target Dollar Spot like little sunglasses, or bracelets, or cute socks. They are always so excited to get them!
My hubby surprised me with a bouquet of chocolate covered fruit from edible arrangements with 3 big balloons. I was actually really surprised, and didn't guess this year what he got me..LOL! I had previously tried Edible Arrangements for the 1st time a couple of months ago-with a free coupon that I had. I REALLY liked their chocolate covered strawberries & apples, so I guess my hubby remembered that!
I also told him not to buy me flowers just for the fact that the price of them gets jacked up to a ridiculous price JUST for Valentines day. I mean, really! $20 flowers are now costing close to $50? Yeah right-whatever! LOL! I get flowers often enough that I didn’t miss them on Valentines Day.
Oh yeah! I made my hubby & girls the cutest pancakes this morning. Pink pancakes w/ chocolate chips, cut into heart shapes-sprinkled with powdered sugar and topped with strawberries cut to look like hearts. They were so cute-and tasted good, too! Can you tell that I really get into holidays? Hehe!
I do have more pics to share, but I need to get them all off of my camera. Will post them soon!
I will also have to take pics of the card and magnetic photo frames that the girls made for their daddy (with my help). They were cute-and he really enjoyed getting something made by them! BTW-I almost forgot (since I like to be thorough–LOL) I got my hubby turtle chocolates-a LOT of them (his favorite). He better hide them.
A mommy moment
Call it a mommy moment-or me just not paying attention to a calendar (LOL)!
On Monday-I got Jacey all ready for preschool-drove over there at about 8:30-which is the time it starts…and the door is locked. Just at that time, another mom pulls up behind me with her preschooler. We both look at each other and say “Is there school today?” You know where this is going right?
I call my hubby at home, and ask him to look at the schedule/calendar, and guess what? NO SCHOOL! It actually started back-after the holidays- on the 5th. (The very next day and a day that Jacey doesn’t go).
I just don’t know HOW I didn’t realize this-or why I didn’t actually double-check the calender. I would say “How embarrassing”, but another mom did the same thing-so I don’t feel so bad! LOL!
Christmas in the air…
We have done lots of baking and decorating and crafts…and we’re still not done! Jacey just loves doing ANYTHING crafty, and Jadyn loves to participate as well. I think today we will make another batch of cookies. Not sure what kind yet. So far, we have made Christmas Tree cookies for preschool, Festive White Fudge, and colored rice crispy treats.
We’ve also made homemade Christmas ornaments out of salt-dough. They are always fun to do-and super easy to make!
On Friday the 18th, Jacey has her preschool Christmas program. We are so excited to go! I can hardly wait! I will definitely have camera and flip mino in hand.
We will be taking a plate of cookies, homemade of course, which we may do the day before.
I also wanted to share this pic. Jacey made this candy-cane ornament in preschool. Isn’t it cute?
Anyways-we are off to figure out what the plan is for today. It is -12 out-so I think we will be staying in..LOL!
