School Fun

I can hardly believe that the school year is almost over! Jacey will be turning 6 on July 1st, and I can hardly believe that either! :-S
She has grown and changed so much!
This is a pic of her on her 1st day of Kindergarten….

And Jacey now:

She just looks so much more grown up now and has grown what seems to be several inches..LOL!
Since her birthday is a summer birthday, her class is celebrating the kids’ with summer birthdays (early) at school before school gets out. I think that is awesome–since the kids who have birthday’s during the school year get to celebrate theirs at school. This way, no-one is left out. Tomorrow is Jacey’s day at school. She is really excited! I’m going to pick up some mini cupcakes to take for the little celebration.
Also, this week at school (Thursday), Jacey’s class is taking a trip to Cold Stone creamery. They are going to get to make (& eat) their own special ice cream creation! What fun, right!?

100th day of school [project]

The 100th day of school is fast approaching, so Jacey’s teacher gave everyone a project to do. Jacey was supposed to create a collage of 100 items (all of the same item), to celebrate the 100th day of school. This is what we did!
A collage made out of foam–100 pieces in all! A garden and sky-complete with the sun, butterflies & a rainbow. Isn’t it pretty?

Holiday events at Jacey’s school….

This past Friday Jacey’s Kindergarten class got to make gingerbread houses. Parents were invited, so of course I went! We had a lot of fun creating, and it was also fun to see Jacey interacting with her friends.
This is a pic that Jacey’s teacher took of us….

Just hours before, Jacey’s class (and all other classes) got a great opportunity to visit a local dance and performing company to watch a performance of “The Nutcracker”. I was so excited for her! She absolutely LOVED it, and said that her favorite part were the Sugar Plum Fairies.

How did Summer go by so fast? I mean, it really flew by this year! I have to say though, I am excited for fall. Cool crisp air, pumpkins, leaves, and all of the wonderful things that come with my favorite season-Autumn!
School has started & Jacey is really enjoying it. She is making lots of new friends, and having new experiences….like riding the school bus for one! We took her to school on her very 1st day-but after that she has wanted to ride the bus. She wasn’t afraid at all, just excited to be on a school bus! I, on the other hand was freaking out on the inside, but am getting used to the idea…lol!
Jadyn misses her big sister during the day-but I really think she enjoys having her mama all to herself! We spend our time reading, coloring & drawing, and doing all sorts of fun things together.
September also brings a Birthday in our house! My hubby’s! Jace will be 38 tomorrow (September 3rd), so wish him a Happy Birthday, if you will, over at his blog!
